“In 1.0.4 we’re going to shrink the gap between normal monsters and Elite packs”
This statement is not so good. This would mean that it’ll just take more time to kill those monsters. An hour of farming items or loots in Diablo 3 is meaningless compared to other games wherein you can have “Hope” of finding something of relevance as you plow through hordes of monsters.
“We’re removing Enrage Timers and the “heal back to full” behavior from Champion and Rare monster packs.”
All that I can say about this is that… ” Too late! “ The players have already been struck by fatigue as to how the monsters slice their asses in half with ease. This also brings us back to the problem above that they will shorten the gap between normal monsters and elite packs. Elite packs in this game, more often than not are also near normal packs. So what do you have? A recipe for sure death.
“We think repair costs are just a bit too high, so in 1.0.4 we’re going to be reducing repair costs of high-end items by 25%.”
That’s like saying ” Oh! We though it would work, Sorry! “ So all this time you were testing the players. Let me be the first one to say “Congratulations! The test was successful! You have just made your players quit the game.”
“In 1.0.4 for co-op is to remove averaging in multiplayer games of Magic Find and Gold Find.”
So they’ll remove it as well. Here’s the deal with Magic Find, even if you have a high Magic Find and Gold Find that would still save you not until you reach Act III Inferno or Act IV Inferno. The thing is the items are located there! People are looking for end game items not mid-game. One thing that I hated the most in this game is the Magic Find and Gold Find Component. A ton of games out there don’t use this. Reason being is that it messes the armors and gameplay real bad. Instead of wearing a full battlegear armor, you need to gear up Magic Find and/or Gold Find to find your loots. Relying on Nephalem Valor alone is insufficient even at 5 stacks as you still get crappy rare drops even after playing hours and hours of farming sessions.
So overall, the updates are just too late the hero. Guild Wars 2 is just around the corner and will definitely strike hard on Blizzard’s Diablo 3. The players of Diablo 3 have all but stopped playing entirely or would just lurk around the forums. Majority really got fed up as to how Blizzard ended up monopolizing and prioritizing the Real Money Auction House. Seriously Blizzard, how will you get money if you just keep angering your customers. The more they get annoyed the lesser they will play and also not recommend your game. I’m definitely sure you know that kind of strategy won’t work but why do it? I really don’t understand or I guess we will never know why they did such as thing.
Diablo 3 was a great game. A ton of us waited for it for years, literally! Blizzard however just had to mess it all up for the sake of more money.
To Blizzard – Activision, Thanks but no thanks. I’ve had my fill of this game and I am not happy at what you did to the game that we loved for so many years.
