Sega has been busy for the past few months with the development of their upcoming console & pc MMO game “Phantasy Star Online 2”. With the success of the previous game, Sega has decided to open the game to a much wider audience.
As stated on the title of the post, Sega has announced that their upcoming MMORPG will be a free to play for the PSVITA and PC version. This means more people will get to play the game though i somewhat question if the VITA users will still meet the PC users which I do hope they will. There will also be micro-based transactions so do expect that the item mall for this will be vast. In addition, Sega also is working on an iOS platform of the game but will feature social game elements and will be simpler which is great for those who wants to keep track of their character 24/7.
Beta testing is also to continue/begin sometime in April so those who are interested in trying out their game you can head to their Phantasy Star Online 2 site (Disclaimer: its in their local language) and check to see if you may get a chance though do not this will be a close beta testing so mechanics may be different from the other CBT testing phase or games that you have experienced.
